M1 MacBooks can run iOS apps natively, so you can download the Xbox app and stream from your console to the app. Whilst OneCast may no longer be developed it is a good alternative which should still work on your M1 MacBook 1.

  1. Replied on September 22, 2016. Since the remote play is truely a feature of Windows 10 playing on a mac without Windows 10 will not work. I can confirm however that running a windows 10 parallels VM will in fact let you play and stream the xbox from my macbook pro.

  2. Press and hold the Connect button for a few seconds to put your controller into pairing mode.
  3. Follow the steps to pair a controller to your iOS or iPadOS device, Apple TV, or Mac.

  • Unpair it, then pair it again. If you still can't pair or connect, get help pairing your Bluetooth accessory to your iOS device.
  • Make sure that you're not trying to connect too many Bluetooth accessories at once. Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD support up to two of the same kind of controller at once, or one controller with a combination of Bluetooth audio devices. Other controller and audio Bluetooth limits vary by device.
  • Check that the firmware on your controller is up to date.
  • Some controller functions aren't supported when paired with an Apple device, including the controller's audio jack. Contact Apple Support for more details.

Stream Xbox Games To Mac

Android smartphones and tablets

Any Android device running Android 7 or later can play PS Remote Play games using on-screen controls. Devices running Android 10 or higher can connect to a DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller via Bluetooth4.

The DualSense controller is currently not supported on Android devices.

iPhone and iPad

Any Apple device running iOS 12.1 or higher can play PS Remote Play games using on-screen controls. Devices running iOS 13 or higher have DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller support via Bluetooth, and devices running iOS 14.5 or higher will be able to use a DualSense wireless controller support via Bluetooth5.

Windows PC and Mac

Windows PC devices running Windows 10 or higher will be able to use a DUALSHOCK 4 or DualSense wireless controller via wired connection.
